Some Interview hacks you must be aware of!

You have completed your graduation and you are in need of a decent job. Even if you are still doing your graduation, you need to know some tips regarding interview because they are different from your exams!

Following are some important hacks you need to know before appearing for an interview.

• You might be nervous and it's pretty common for all of us to be tensed. But, never express that! If you feel so, motivate yourself and take deep breaths. Start with a greeting and a handshake and be confident while speaking. It's essential to arrive on time!
• Most important thing is to present yourself formally and elegantly because interviewers will judge based on your looks too! Carry your smile while greeting and at the same time, don't fake it.
• If they ask you to describe yourself, don't start telling about your schooling and  life history! Instead, tell them something positive about you like punctual, co-operative, adjustable, sincere and so on. Again, don't fake it because they might test you!
• If they seem to ask you questions in the areas you are weak, blabbering something on your own never works and also, don't tell you don't know and stop it abruptly. Instead, you can tell, "I want to learn about it but I know ABC { some topic related to their question in which you are strong} which is also related to it " and so on. In this way, you are indirectly pulling them towards your side.
• They might happen to ask you questions like "What if we don't hire you?"  In such situations, never lose your patience. Instead, focus on the company's plus points and tell they provided a platform for you to learn something. In a nutshell, show them that you're confident and that you take things positively.
• Never provide any kind of false information in your resume. This will cost you more than you can imagine! List about your interests and areas you are strong even if they don't add up to a fat resume. Moreover, your marks or GPA won't be of a great interest to them. So, always develop your interests in stuffs other than your studies.
• In case they try to pull you into an argument with them, don't boast about yourself! Be modest and listen carefully. Speak politely and slowly in such situations and win them over without arguing.
• Make sure you are thorough in the field you have mentioned in your resume. Keep updating yourself regarding your field and mention about the advanced developments so they will have a good impression regarding your interest in your own field.
• The interviewers may get bored and ask you whether you have got any question for them. In such cases, never tell them that you have got no questions. You can ask them questions regarding their company and their positions. Also, it will be good if you do a small research about the company before sitting for the interview.

It's always advisable to do your best and never take an interview for advantage even if you are sure of the job. If you get selected, it's great and even if the verdict is negative, it will be a good lesson and prepares you for the best for your upcoming interviews. All the best!
